Newtown Ambulance Home Page

Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps (NVAC) is a private non-profit organization made up of 60 trained Emergency Medical Technicians who volunteer their time to help others in their community.  NVAC covers an area of over 60 square miles and is one of the most active volunteer EMS providers in our region with a  volume of over 2000 calls per year.

Currently the NVAC has three ambulances available to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) service.  In order to provide advanced life support (ALS) to our community, NVAC contracts for a paramedic to be housed 24/7 in our garage to respond to ALS calls.

            WE NEED YOUR HELP !

As our town continues to expand, so does our call volume.  We need dedicated professional members, as we must continue to grow to meet the challenges of tomorrow.  We offer the Emergency Medical Technician Course annually,  along with training once the EMT certificate is obtained.

Non-medical volunteers are also welcome to join as well.
